Senior Full-Stack Developer (React / Node.js) AI-First
Commit
We are looking for Senior Full-Stack Developer (React / Node.js) AI-First. You will own features end-to-end: React on the front-end, Node.js on the back-end, deployed with Docker and Kubernetes on AWS. Small team, hands-on senior role — you ship, you deploy, you support what you build.
The team develops AI-first. AI coding tools are the default way work gets done, not an experiment. On the front-end in particular, we expect you to generate most of the UI with AI — screens, components, state, tests — and spend your time on architecture, review and product quality, not on hand-typing JSX. We expect you to already work this way.
What you will do:
Build and ship full-stack features: React front-end + Node.js services and APIs
Build the front-end AI-first: turn designs, specs or screenshots into working React screens using AI coding agents; generate components, forms, tables, state logic and tests; then review, harden and integrate
Set up and maintain the AI workflow for front-end work: project rules/context files, component conventions, design-system references and prompt patterns so AI output matches the codebase
Containerize services with Docker, deploy and operate them on Kubernetes and AWS
Maintain CI/CD, monitoring and logging for what you own
Review code (human- and AI-written) and work directly with the product and management team
Requirements:
Must have:
5+ years of professional software development
True full-stack: 3+ years where you regularly delivered both the React front-end and the Node.js back-end of the same features yourself, in production. This role requires equal depth on both sides; profiles weighted to one side only will not fit.
Strong React: hooks, state management, performance, TypeScript
Strong Node.js: API design, async patterns, auth, testing
Hands-on production experience with Kubernetes, Docker and AWS
AI-first front-end development, proven in production:
Daily use of AI coding agents (Cursor, Claude Code, Copilot or similar) to build React UI end-to-end
Can show real examples of screens or features built mostly with AI and explain what was kept, what was rewritten and why
Knows how to give the agent the right context (design files, component library, existing patterns, API contracts) to get code that fits the codebase, not generic output
Knows where AI breaks on front-end work — state bugs, accessibility, performance, inconsistent styling — and how to catch it
AI-first across the stack: uses AI for back-end code, tests, refactoring, debugging and reviews as well; can explain how prompts, context and agent workflows are structured, and how output is verified
Git, CI/CD, automated testing as a habit
Independent, communicates clearly, owns a feature from idea to production
Huge bonus:
React Native — shipped mobile apps to App Store / Google Play (OTOFusion has a React Native mobile app)
Experience with AI design-to-code tools (Figma-to-code, v0, Lovable, Bolt or similar) as part of a real delivery flow
